Meet Fabrizio

(Day 8 of 30 – story crumbs from the world of Loveandpizza.it 🍕)

Yesterday you met Luca – all splash and swagger. Today, meet the man who is, in almost every way, his opposite. This is Fabrizio. Fabri, if you’re being friendly.

He’s the quiet one.

The still water in a very noisy city

If Luca is the splash, Fabrizio is the still water. You might not clock him straight away in a noisy room – and Napoli is nothing but noisy rooms.

He doesn’t perform. He doesn’t rush to fill a silence just because it’s there. He’s the sort who hangs back, watches, takes it all in… and then says one quiet thing, just for you, that you find yourself turning over on the bus home three hours later, wondering how on earth he saw straight through you like that.

Still waters. Very deep ones.

The man who notices everything

That’s the thing about Fabrizio: he’s incredibly easy to underestimate. People do it all the time. They clock the quiet, decide there’s not much to see… and completely miss the fact that he’s watching everything. (Carolina, for one, spends a good while convinced he must be up to something. A man who’s this quiet, and notices this much? In Napoli? She has theories. 😏)

I won’t tell you a thing about what he means to Carolina, or where he fits, or how any of it unfolds. (You know the rules by now. 😉) I’ll just say this, as a general truth about the quiet ones: never, ever underestimate them. That’s all I’m saying. 🤐

And isn’t that so true of real life? We’ve all, at some point, written someone off as “the quiet one” – and been proven gloriously, embarrassingly wrong. So here’s the real question: is Fabrizio one of those? The still one who turns out to be everything? Or is he exactly as unassuming as he looks? Well… you’ll have to read the book to find out. 😏 Book boyfriend material? Oh, yes… The most dangerous kind! The sort you don’t see coming.

So… now you’ve met them both

The dazzling one who decides everything for you – and the one who actually stops to see you. You can probably feel the problem starting to form… 😏
