Write Like Nobody’s Watching

There’s a version of you who writes freely (or dreams of it quietly), without second-guessing every sentence, without deleting everything before anyone sees it.

She’s not worried about being perfect.
She just wants to write what’s on her heart, and feel like her words matter.

“So long as you write what you wish to write, that is all that matters...” ~ Virginia Woolf

But let’s be honest… writing can feel lonely.

And starting? That’s often the hardest part. So I created the kind of space I needed…

A place where:

  • Writing doesn’t feel like a solo slog
  • Sharing doesn’t feel like a risk
  • And creativity feels like coming home

You don’t need a fancy notebook, a five-step method, or a bestselling idea.
You need a cosy little corner of the internet – and some story-loving women to remind you that you belong here.

And that’s exactly what you’ll find in The Writing Shed Club.

“The scariest moment is always just before you start.”
~ Stephen King

You want to write.
You think about it all the time.

You jot things down in half-used notebooks, or open a Google Doc that stays blank while your coffee/tea goes cold.

You’ve got ideas – so many ideas – but when it comes to actually sitting down and writing, something gets in the way.
Life. Doubt. That voice in your head that says, “Who do you think you are?”

Maybe you’ve told yourself:

  • “I’m not a real writer.”
  • “I don’t have time.”
  • “It’s too late to start now.”

Or maybe you’ve started writing, over and over again…

…but you never share it with anyone.
…you feel stuck and uninspired.
…you don’t have anyone to cheer you on, give feedback, or just get it.

Truth is, you’re not lazy. You’re not broken.
You just haven’t had the right space to feel safe, supported, and inspired.

That’s what’s been missing.

Imagine this:

You sit down to write and it doesn’t feel heavy anymore.
You’re not chasing perfection or productivity. You’re just… showing up for yourself.
With a cup of coffee, a soft playlist in the background, and a story that wants to be told.

Your ideas don’t stay stuck in your head.
They make it onto the page.
Not because you have to write, but because you want to.

Here’s what it could feel like…

You’ve got a place to go when you need inspiration.

A group of creative women who get just how hard – and how beautiful – this writing thing can be.
You’re not doing it alone anymore. And that changes everything.

You feel proud of what you’re creating.
You’re learning to trust your voice.
You’re making space in your life for something that matters to you.

And the best part?

You’re actually writing. Week after week.
Not perfectly. Not always easily. But joyfully. Consistently. Confidently.

I didn’t create this space because I had it all figured out.

I created it because I didn’t.

There were years when I couldn’t call myself a writer, even though I’d been writing my whole life. Journals full of thoughts. Scenes that never became stories. Beautiful beginnings that went nowhere.

I kept telling myself: “One day, I’ll take it seriously.”
But life kept getting louder; work, family, grief, fear, self-doubt.

And the truth is, I didn’t need more pressure.
I needed a place. A little hideaway. Somewhere quiet but full of soul.
Where I could write what I wanted, not what I should.

I wanted encouragement, not critique.

Connection, not comparison.

A space that felt like lighting a candle, not turning on a spotlight.

So I built it. First for me.
A corner of my garden. A pink shed. A desk, a kettle, a notebook.
Then – slowly, and with a lot of heart – I realised that maybe I wasn’t the only one who needed this.

Maybe there were other women who loved writing but didn’t feel “good enough.”
Women with full lives and full hearts, who needed a creative space that felt safe, playful, and real.

Women like you.

And now, that little shed has grown roots online; not to replace the magic of the page, but to make more room for it.

This isn’t social media. It’s better.
Inside our private Skool space, you’ll connect with like-hearted women who love writing and storytelling as much as you do. You’ll get feedback, encouragement, ideas, and maybe even a few new friends.

Want a little extra spark? Keep an eye out for insightful dares and playful challenges to shake things up – like “write a scene with no dialogue” or “describe a character using only their shoes.” Fun, not forced.

We’re building a beautiful “Creative Keeps” path to track your writing journey — not with grades or gold stars, but milestones that matter to you.
Think: “I shared a piece,” “I wrote every week for a month,” “I created something I’m proud of.”

A growing collection of member-shared snippets, favourite reads, inspiring quotes, and extra writing resources. All curated to keep your creativity fuelled. It’s part library, part scrapbook, and completely yours to explore.

FAQ — Let’s Clear Things Up

Not at all. The Writing Shed Club is for anyone who wants to write more, whether you’re just getting started, returning to it after years, or deep into your storytelling journey. If you love words, you belong here.

Think journaling meets storytelling – creative, expressive, and personal. Some members use the prompts for fiction, others for memoir or self-reflection. There’s no “right” way to write here; just your way.

As much or as little as you can give. Some members write daily, some show up for the live circles, and some dip in and out when life allows. You’ll never be behind! This club meets you where you are.

Nope! The Writing Shed lives on Skool, a private platform (not Facebook or Instagram). That means no distractions, no algorithms; just connection, creativity, and community.

You’ll get instant access to prompts, downloads, live event invites, and the Writing Shed community. You’ll also be welcomed with open arms (and a few gifs).

Yes. It’s a free membership, and even if you upgrade, it is month-to-month, and you can cancel whenever you need – no stress, no questions asked. But we’d love to have you for as long as it lights you up. (I really hope you’ll stay, write, and grow with us for a long time to come. 🌷)

If you want it… yes! We have community spaces where you can share excerpts and ask for feedback. You’ll find it’s a space full of kindness, encouragement, and supportive eyes (never red pens).

That’s okay too. You can leave anytime, and keep anything you’ve downloaded. But our hunch? Once you feel how good it is to write in company… you might just want to stay awhile.

Ready When You Are…

If you’re waiting for the perfect time to write… this might be it.
Not because you’ve cleared your schedule.
Not because you finally feel ready.
But because you’ve found a space that makes it easier to begin.

The Writing Shed Club is open… and your seat’s already waiting.
Bring your blank pages, your half-finished ideas, your full heart.
Come for the prompts, stay for the stories.
Write a little – or a lot. Share a little – or a lot. Surprise yourself.

You don’t have to do it alone anymore.

Curious about what it’s really like inside The Writing Shed Club?

It’s one thing to read about it… but it’s another to step inside and feel it for yourself.
The fairy lights, the story-soaked air, the soft pages
waiting to be filled…

Your free cosy writing corner of the internet is

ready when you are.
